Dear Families,
The first day of school is done. What a great start we had. Now we are working and getting projects and assignments daily. Your child should have homework every night. If they are not taking work home let me know. Our daily planners will help your child. It will help organize our assignments. All assignments are listed on the school web site too. You can print a copy of your child’s assignments and projects. All homework is due the next day. Any assignment not finished in class becomes homework. Most students did a good job the first week of doing their homework every night. Please encourage your child to continue this habit.
Students will receive their first memory gem next week. They will receive another one two weeks later. Please encourage your child to say their gems as soon as possible. These gems are a part of their Bible grade.
Sunday will be our school picnic. It is a school day. Attendance will be taken. Families from grades 4-6 are to bring drinks or soda to the picnic. I hope to see everyone here Sunday.
Thursday, August 30, is back-to-school night. We have a lot of changes this year. We need to see everyone that night. I will be going over my handbook and explaining the many changes in our curriculum. I look forward to seeing all families for the evening.
Students have received their first project reading. Please help your child organize their time to complete all projects on time. All book reports are due Sept. 28. If you have any questions concerning the projects, please contact me. You can see or call me at school. My phone number at home is 650-866-3808. Students may call me at home until 9:00 p.m.
