Dear Parents & Friends of SFAS,
Next Wednesday,
February 15, our school is holding a Jump
for Heart and Hoops for Heart event. |
|
Jump for Heart and Hoops for Heart |
| This
is a fun event! It encourages community service
and is also educational. Our students will
learn jump rope and basketball skills while
raising money to fund lifesaving research
and educational programs!
Our school also earns gift certificates for
physical education equipment. (With tight
budgets, this comes in handy!)
Family and friends are welcome to support
your child's participation by making contributions.
Your child can even raise funds online. However,
we ask that children not go door-to-door or
ask strangers for donations. Participants
will receive thank-you gifts based on the
amount of contributions they collect. Checks
should be made payable to the American Heart
Association.
If your employer has a matching gifts program,
please indicate the matched amounts on the
Sponsor Form on the collection envelope. Asking
about matching gifts can increase donations,
making your child--and the event--more successful.
Please support our event! If you have any
questions, or if you're interested in volunteering
at the event, please contact me at 415-585-5550,
ext. 23.

100th Day of School |
| Monday
was our 100th day of school. All kids drew
a picture of what they think they will look
like when they are 100 years old. You'll soon
be able to check out their pictures on our
school website.
Have a great weekend!
